Part 2: Small Bugs in the Program

As Yoshi finally emerged from the other side of digital vortex, she felt a little woozy and nearly fell over. Thankfully, Lalamon was there to keep her steady. “Yoshi are you okay?”

Yoshi shook her, the strange dizzy sensation faded just as quickly as it appeared. Gazing at Lalamon, she smiled saying, “I’m okay Lalamon.”

“Well then what are you waiting for,” Marcus shouted, “the water’s awaiting.”

Yoshi blew a heavy sigh. Marcus always the impatient one. Not wanting to dwell on the strange sensation, she fell in step behind the group.

“Me wish,” Keenan said, “they send us somewhere closer to beach.”

“We couldn’t find an opening in the digital field close enough to the beach,” Thomas said.

Marcus chuckled. “That’s just Thomas, fancy way of saying, Miki and Megumi dropped up in the middle of nowhere.”

Thomas grunted, but said nothing.

Yoshi grunted too, but not from irritation, but from feeling a little weak all of sudden. The sensation started a little ways back, but it was getting worse with each passing step. Another strange thing she began to notice was that her clothes felt loose for some reason. Every so often, she would have to tighten her belt strap, and her sleeves dropped below her wriest. And then without warning, Yoshi tripped over her own shoes.

“Ouch!” she snapped falling on her knees.

“Yoshi,” Lalamon cried, “are you okay?”

“I wish you would stop asking me that,” she said, slowly getting back to her feet. “Let’s just keep going okay.”

They travel on for another few minutes when something unexpected happened. Yoshi’s pants fell to her knees.

“Oh my goodness!” she shrieked, grasping at her belt buckle.

Agumon and Falcomon turned to face Yoshi; they were stunned at first, but quickly began to laugh at Yoshi with her pants down. Falcomon turned to Agumon and said in between bouts of chuckles, “Say how does that phrase go, ‘I see London, I see France, I see Yoshi—”

“FINISH THAT SENTENCE,” Yoshi shouted, a blaze of fire shining in her eyes, “AND I’LL TURN YOU INTO AN EGG AND THEN COOK YOU FOR BREAKFAST.”

Startled, Falcomon jumped on top of Agumon, his feather falling about them. “Get off of me you coward!” He then tossed the cringing Digimon to the side.

“Yoshi,” Thomas said, “what happened?”

“I don’t know,” Yoshi said slowly standing, with her attention focused on getting her pants back up, she did not notice the others were staring at her. When she finally gazed at them, she looked a bit bewildered by their shocked expression. “What?”

Both Marcus and Thomas were too stunned to say anything, only Keenan had the courage to say, “Yoshi grow smaller.”

“What?” Yoshi snapped turning on him, “that’s impossible! I could be…shrinking…” she trailed off, as she felt strange again. Looking about, Yoshi first believed that Marcus and Thomas were somehow getting taller, but as more and more of her clothes felt loose and slipping off her body she had to realize it was she who was growing smaller. By the time her growth ended, she was no higher then Keenan which made her about four feet tall. “Just what is happening to me?”

Thomas turned away, a little uncomfortable with Yoshi shrinking like this, and then pulled out a small computer, where he began typing along the keypad, yet after several minutes past however before he finally gave up and grunted heavily. “I don’t believe this, I can’t seem to make contact with DATs headquarters, nor can I manually open a Digital Gate.”

Yoshi was starting to freak out at this point. “Then what are we going to do? What if I keep shrinking till…” her statement was cut short as her pants fell once again, sadly so did her underwear and bra. Her shirt was the only thing covering her body. Through back her head, Yoshi began to cry.

“Uh sir,” Gaomon muttered calmly as ever.

Yoshi was so freaked by what happened that she screamed.

“Why is this happening to me?”

Back in DATs headquarters, Commander Sampson and the others were working feverishly at trying to regain contact with Marcus and the others. Sadly, they were at a lost as to how they were being blocked in their own system.

Miki turned around from her station, a look of on her face. “I’m sorry commander, but its no use, the system is just locked up in loop, and there’s no way to undo it.”

“Well keep working,” Sampson demanded, “so long we’re locked out of our own system, our men are trapped in the digital world.”

Megumi turned a moment later saying, “I have managed to determine the initial error, somehow, a compression wave of some kind overlapped the data stream just Yoshi entered it.”

Sampson grunted heavily, wondering how a compression wave could have interfered with their systems.

Sitting back in his chair, Redsaber watched the scene unfold on the monitors with a grand smile. Yoshi had shrunk down to four and a half feet and there was clear sign of her still shrinking. His plan could not have worked better than he had hopped.

Taking one last most to enjoy his scheme, Redsaber sat up straight and started typing a new line of code into his computer, knowing that it would not take long for Thomas to find the means to undoing his plan; he smiled as he wished he could be there to see the look on everyone’s face.
